Polynomial method for canonical calculations

A practical version of the polynomial canonical formalism is developed for normal mesoscopic systems consisting of N independent electrons. Drastic simplification of calculations is attained by means of proper ordering excited states of the system. In consequence the exact canonical partition function can be represented as a series in which the first term corresponds to the ground state whereas...

Canonical representation for approximating solution of fuzzy polynomial equations

In this paper, the concept of canonical representation is proposed to find fuzzy roots of fuzzy polynomial equations. We transform fuzzy polynomial equations to system of crisp polynomial equations, this transformation is perform by using canonical representation based on three parameters Value, Ambiguity and Fuzziness.

Canonical and microcanonical calculations for fermi systems

Recursion relations are presented that allow exact calculation of canonical and microcanonical partition functions of degenerate Fermi systems, assuming no explicit two-body interactions. Calculations of the level density, sorted by angular momentum, are presented for 56Ni. The issue of treating unbound states is also addressed.

Uniqueness of Polynomial Canonical Representations

Abstract. Let P (z) and Q(y) be polynomials of the same degree k ≥ 1 in the complex variables z and y, respectively. In this extended abstract we study the non-linear functional equation P (z) = Q(y(z)), where y(z) is restricted to be analytic in a neighborhood of z = 0. We provide sufficient conditions to ensure that all the roots of Q(y) are contained within the range of y(z) as well as to ha...
